where do i begin? i praise God because so much has happened since i last updated.
since pictures worth a thousand words, i am going to write a lot today:P
short term mission team
two teams from Texas came to Taiwan couple weeks ago and spend time at my parents' school working with their students. i was so excited to see Texans again!!! i was so honored to be able to be their translators as they speak in different classes---praise God for the gift of translating. i never knew how tiring traslating for others can be, but at the end of the day, my mind and my body definetely felt drained. praise God--while the team was here, we were able to meet a lot of students (and remeet a lot of students that i've been hanging out with). we had 5 new followers of Jesus last week---WHOOP!
of course, after a long week of working with the students, we took a spontaneous trip to KaoShiung. I was the tourguide...though i had never been there before. but we did not get lost and had LOTS of fun:D
KaoShiung World Games Stadium
our first time on "High Speed Rail". eat Pepero to celebrate the occation:D
feeling tired at the end of the day:D
the band
yes yes...i love them. seeing their faces again and practice with them this past weekend was such a joy to my heart. it's incredible---God has truly brought us together and i thoroughly enjoy playing with them. i shall post some videos later of songs that we've been practicing;D
however, i praise God for giving me some time to reflect on some stuff this week. I feel, in my heart, that sometimes, when i get excited about something, i fall more in love with the "blessing" than the "giver of all blessings, our Gracious Father." for instance, i absolutely love this group of friends who love Jesus and love music. but, in my heart, when i truly think about it, i sometime do spend more time thinking about what we are practicing and how we can hang out more together, rather than truly worshipping and honoring the Lord together, everyday.
may the Lord truly be the one whom we love, praise, and live for, everyday. may my heart crave and desire for him, obsessed about the Lord more than things on earth, such as fame, or what others think about me, etc.
my dear band-mates:D
Patricia:D
i met patricia 9 years ago at a summer camp. it was our first summer camp experience and we were roommies. little did we know that 9 years later, we would meet up again in Taiwan!!! praise God. what a sweet sister in the Lord! i was so happy that i got to show someone around this place i now called home and stuff her tummy with yummy food. what a blessing it is to be able to enjoy, encourage, and uplift a sister in Christ!
a fun picture from our dinner time at "bathroom theme" restaurant
upcomings...
i am going to malaysia tomorrow!! yay! it hasn't sink in yet that i am leaving my dear friends and family in Taiwan for a little while, but i am looking forward to meeting all my extended family. YAY!!!
please join me in prayer as i pray that God would use me in miraculous ways in sharing his Gospel to my extended families. pray that the Lord may bring me to those who need to hear about the Gospel and bring those who are ready along my path. pray!
goodbye for now. i love you all.
